Painful Panic Attacks
Posted by Dewey Barlow in fitness on March 3rd, 2010
For most people, a panic attack could be something they experience a couple of times in their life, if at all . However , a severe panic attack comes on suddenly and for no clear reason, and can even manifest intense physical reactions. Harsh panic attacks can be frightening, and can cause an individual to believe that they’re about to die, as they regularly mimic heart attack symptoms. For those who experience panic attacks frequently, might be affected by a recognized infirmity referred to as panic disorder.
Severe Panic Attacks Symptoms
A quick heart rate, lack of breath, dizzy spells, nausea and hot flushes are all severe panic attack symptoms. Different folks experience varying symptoms, which include sweating, faintness, shaking, headache, chest discomfort from stress and anxiety, hyperventilation, intestinal cramping, chills, tightness in your throat and having difficulty swallowing. Mostly, panic attacks come on all of a sudden, and usually build for the next ten minutes. Among many different forms folk have experienced are panic attacks that can persist for half an hour and rarely, lasting a full day. Most panic attacks leave the person exhausted, and the idea of having another one itself, can cause serious tension symptoms. In severe cases, folks are reluctant to leave their homes, feeling that no other place is safe.
Often , there’s limited awareness of the causes of severe panic attacks or panic disorder. However , stress, genetics and changes in brain function might be the participatory factors. The changes an individual experiences during a panic attack, is the body’s natural response to danger. By accelerating pulse rate and respiring, the body money itself to fight, or for flight. What leaves most scientists flummoxed is why these changes are experienced in eventualities where there is no apparent danger.
Harsh Panic Attack Treatments

With medications and / or psychotherapy, an individual is in a position to live a unexceptional life. * MAOIs : The mono-amine oxidase inhibitors or MAOIs are mood depress-ants that are used as a final resort medication, as they require strict diet restrictions and could cause life-threatening side-effects. They include selegiline ( Emsam ), phenelzine ( Nardil ), isocarboxazid ( Marplan ) and tranylcypromine ( Parnate ).
* SNRIs : These serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors or SNRIs are antidepressants prescribed for mood aberrations like depression and include duloxetine ( Cymbalta ) and venlafaxine ( Effexor, Effexor XR ).

How To Stop Anxiety Attacks Even Before They Happen
Posted by Nolan Stokes in fitness on February 21st, 2010
If you want to know the methods associated with how to stop anxiety attacks naturally you first have to take a look at why you get them. Most anxiety attacks happen because we have an extreme fear of something and we are triggered to reply to that fear during certain times of stress. When we reply with a high level of anxiety we frequently find that we end up being counterproductive.
In all fact anxiety attacks are just a technique of defending ourselves. We believe deep inside that the situation handy is somehow extraordinarily bad for us and so our brains raise our level of anxiety to an acute degree. to stop having them we have to evaluate the idea that we carry regarding the scale of the situation.
There are all kinds of respiring techniques and even medicines that can help control anxiety. For example, if the need to perform well on the job creates a high level of anxiety and triggers attacks, you have got to deal with what you believe would occur if you performed poorly on a project.
Lots of us believe that if we perform unexceptionally then we’re going to find ourselves fired from our position, which will mean the loss of the house, hunger, and upcoming homelessness. This is pretty significant when it comes to be afraid of. And it is this fret that fuels the anxiety attacks over and over again. Pretty shortly, you have conditioned yourself to experience anxiety whenever you think about your job or go to work - even if there is nothing nerve wracking going on that day!
What if you assumed that the absolute best you could deliver would be adequate at the time? What if you took away the major pressure to perform so that you could perform? What if you truly believed that if the worst happened and you lost your job that you’d still be Okay? Learning how to stop anxiety attacks involves learning to banish our fears and live a fear free life!

The Powerful Impact of Purpose
Posted by Shawn Doyle in fitness on November 17th, 2009
Let’s talk about purpose shall we? Oh I know I know, - you already know your purpose right? Work. Going to the job daily to generate the bucks is not a purpose; it is a justification for going to work. Let me repeat so you understand- it is not the purpose of what you do. It seems to make sense and that is a logical thought process. I can kind of understand how that kind of thinking develops. But it is a huge error to think in that manner. This flawed thought process often leads to low morale and a lack of motivation. The powerful well of motivation is drained when you dont have a specific purpose. So you need to think about this.
Let’s talk about the definition of purpose. The way I define purpose is the reason you are on the planet. So what are you on the planet anyway?
So how the heck do you find your purpose anyway? It’s actually easy as pie. 1) Go to a temple somewhere in the world 2) Enter the temple 3) Ask for the wise man in the robes 4) Ask ” So what is my purpose master?” 5) Wait for it 6) Leave this place right away and apply it . O.K. I am just joking- its not that easy. There are a lot of twists and turns on your journey to finding your purpose. Now the bad news- it’s going to require some work and effort and study. After all you are trying to determine your life’s work. There are people that discover it by stumbling over it. I find that most folks though just have to work at it. Let me give you some techniques for fiinding it:
The Sheet- Take out a pen and some paper ( your choice as to what kind) The more colorful and vibrant the better. Write down a list of all of your strengths. (Come on now dont be shy- it is just a list.) People have said to you at times ” boy you are really good at that.” Those are called your strengths. Now we have a page filled with a list of strengths gifts and talents. Stare at it. So do any patterns emerge? Any themes? Looking at the list let’s say it is filled with things like tools, motors, hardware, maps, slide rulers, or welders. Maybe the theme for you is you are a builder of some kind and your purpose is to build something.
Questions and Answers Grab your favorite pen or pencil and go somewhere where you can think. Go through and answer these questions: 1) What matters the most to you? Why? 2) Fill in the blank: I was put on the earth to _____________ 3) Do you think you have talents you were meant to use? Why? Are you using them? If not why not? 4) What are 2-3 things you have to get done in this lifetime? 5) At the end of my life what do I want to have accomplished? Once you have completed these questions you have some additional ideas about your purpose.
Take 10 Talk to 10 people that you really trust, and take yourself a little survey. ( Ok no cold feet- this takes some courage) The first question is “what do they think you were meant to do?” Ask cousin Freddy, the girlfriend, your Mom or crazy Uncle Lou. Ask a school buddy, a co worker. So why, oh why am I asking you to do this nutty activity? Becasue other people can see you in a different light. They can provide a different perpective. As the answers come flowing in you will have to evauate them and even edit them. As a word of caution try not to pick negative people. This process can help you get valuable information and be one step closer to your purpose.

Perseverance helps in building a strong character. It makes you mentally tough and ready to face challenges that life throws at you.
When you view the lives of successful people, you will notice this trait is common in almost all of them. These people have a lot of persistence when it comes to pursuing their goals.
You will find that most successful people faced a lot of odds and obstacles on their way to success. They faced criticism and ridicule from people.
Many people laughed in their faces when they initially failed in their efforts. Yet, these people believed in their dreams. They continued to pursue their dreams.
You will find that these people simply refused to give up. They overcame frustration and disappointment, yet carried on. Rarely will you find someone successful who does not possess this quality.
Successful people really go after their dreams with full vigor. They do not let initial failures affect them too much. They have learned the skill of continuing despite failures.
They strive to achieve what they have set out to achieve. They will keep on fighting every obstacle coming in their way. They will show utmost resistance to hurdles and will not buckle up.
Such a kind of persistence does require strong will power and mental toughness. It requires courage and a strong determination. Meek people will easily give up long before they can come near their dreams.
Failures will usually try to find excuses and will complain about problems coming their way. But who can escape from problems and disappointments.
Successful people too had problems coming their way. But they did not behave the way these failures did. They did not start complaining or give up on their dreams.
Instead of that, they faced problems head on and tried to solve them. They may have failed many times before finally achieving success. Each time they failed, they adjusted their strategy a little and started again.

You Can Overcome Panic Attacks By Taking Small Steps
Posted by Pascal Athlo in fitness on November 8th, 2009
The difficult part about panic attacks is that they can occur when you least expect them. You will not be prepared to deal with them when they occur.
You might be busy with some work or might be having fun with friends. Suddenly, you get a panic attack!
This might cause you to become fearful of engaging in the activity which you were doing at the time of the attack.
Good news for you is that, the even, place or activity may not have anything to do with the happening of panic attack.
You don’t need to avoid those places or situations where you fear you might face another attack. You can go on living a normal life.
If you live as usual and don’t let panic attacks hamper your life in any way, soon they will lose their power and will stop troubling you.
The initial courage may be the difficult to muster up. For this reason, do not try to take big steps to tackle your problem.
You are better off, taking small actionable steps which can help to overcome panic attacks. As an example, if you are afraid of going shopping, take a friend along with you who is aware of your disorder.
If the doctor has prescribed any pills for you, keep them handy just in case. This way, you will feel more confident in going to places where you fear another attack.
Don’t try to go alone. Don’t try to become too brave all of a sudden, as it might backfire. But start taking little courageous steps about which you feel comfortable to a certain extent.
Keep reminding yourself whenever you can that panic attacks are not dangerous. You get a feeling as if you are about to have a heart attack. But that is just a feeling - you are not having a real heart attack.
I haven’t come across reports of people dying from panic attacks. So, it is safe to assume that they are not dangerous. We only perceive them to be.
Once this is ingrained in your mind that panic attacks are not dangerous, you will feel little bit more safe. You will know that even if another attack happens, it is not going to cause any real damage to you.
Remember to take small, manageable baby-steps that develop more courage in you and move you in positive direction. Do not attempt something big suddenly, but go about it gradually.
After some time, you may no longer fear panic attacks. At this point, they may fade away on their own!
Please remember that avoid taking pills or medication for this problem as much as possible. Only take them when the problem gets seriously out of hand or you are really fearful.
It is better to opt for natural treatments or behavior therapy in order to overcome panic attacks. These kinds of treatment are better in the long run as pills can cause health problems.

What are the Common Symptoms and Causes of Anxiety
Posted by Funmi Salami in fitness on October 18th, 2009
Anxiety is a part of normal human life. Everyone experiences some form of anxiety or nervousness when faced with big events such as a job interview or a wedding. Furthermore, small events can also trigger the jitters. Things such as an exam or blind date are just to name a couple.
Anxiety can be a healthy and beneficial thing when at a normal level. It can motivate us to study for that big test or be more cautious and less reckless. Normal anxiety is something that comes and goes without affecting daily life in any significant way. However, for 19 million Americans who suffer from anxiety disorder, these feelings do not come and go and affect their ability to function in daily life.
When Does Anxiety Become a Problem?
Some people have abnormally high levels of anxiety. For them, worries become more consistent. The negative thoughts can be instigated for no known reason or over a small event. The thoughts also become more serious in nature, and far less rational. Feelings of worry, fear, or dread almost become a mainstay in the life of an anxiety sufferer and tend to have a negative impact on a persons school or work performance, relationships, and personal habits.
In order to understand the difference between normal and abnormal anxiety, let’s explore this example; two different people are waiting for a friend to arrive at a restaurant. The friend they are waiting on is now a half an hour late. The first person with normal anxiety will shrug off the situation believing the friend is caught in traffic and will be along shortly. However, in a person with chronic anxiety, the worry about their friend quickly turns to irrational thoughts and panic:
Has my friend been in a car accident? What if she is seriously hurt? Should I call the police? Should I call her family? How will her family react?
These are just some of the thoughts that may go through an anxiety sufferers head. The thoughts are racing and pervasive, and may persist for several hours on end, even after the friend has finally arrived.
What Causes Anxiety?
An anxiety disorder is a serious mental illness because it can overwhelm the sufferer with persistent worrisome thoughts and thus be crippling. There are several types of anxiety disorder, but generally a person can be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder after having pervasive feelings of panic, fear, or uneasiness for six months or longer.
There is a dispute amongst many as to what actually causes anxiety disorders, however researchers agree that those diagnosed with the disorder had a genetic predisposition to it. Most people afflicted with this disorder begin to show signs during childhood or adolescence, although onset in adulthood is not uncommon. Interestingly, women are twice as likely to have anxiety disorders than men and all ethnicity are affected by the disorder equally.
Many mental disorders are believed to be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. The same is true for anxiety. Serotonin and GABA are chemicals of great interest to researchers trying to better understand anxiety. However, researchers also believe that outside influences play a major role as well. Factors such as job loss, death in the family or living in a stressful environment can all bring on different levels of anxiety.
Treatment
Because of its sensitive physiological nature, anxiety cannot be cured. Not yet.
Anxiety can be managed however with medications and behavioral therapy. Additional methods for managing this disorder also include lifestyle changes including diet and exercise. The first and most important step in managing anxiety is to recognize that a problem exists.
If someone afflicted with anxiety disorder seeks help, they have a much greater chance of living a more normal and fulfilling life.

Treatment For Panic Attacks - Simple Effective Systems To Use For Panic Attacks
Posted by Lois Arvin Walker in fitness on September 30th, 2009
These are some very simple yet very effective techniques to help you experience a remedy cure for panic fits so you can begin to live the standard healthy life that you deserve absolutely free of fear.
The first thing you must do is come to the understanding that what has happened to you is a panic episode and not a coronary or upcoming death. That in and of itself can help a lot. At the start of a panic episode, make sure to remind yourself this is simply a panic episode, you are not going to die, it will eventually pass.
An easily implemented treatment for panic attacks is a simple breathing exercise. A particularly effective one is to put all your concentration on your breathe and count to oneself breathing in one, exhaling 1, breathing in 2, breathing out two, all the way up to 10 and start over.
Another cure for panic fits you may use is to observe your watch or a clock with a second hand. Watch the minute hand and tell yourself, if you’re not dead or going absolutely mad, once one minute passes you’ll be all right. Then concentrate on watching the second hand move and try not to think about anything more but the second hand. When one minute is up, do the same again.
Go for two mins to distract you from the symptoms of the panic attack. Symptoms like your hands going numb, the feeling that you can’t breathe, the belief that you are having a coronary, the fear. Focusing on the second hand is a distraction from those thoughts.
While doing this you may still feel all of those feelings, but you must concentrate with all of your might on that second hand. Repeat the method until the panic attack passes, and it’ll pass. Keep reminding yourself that it is just a panic fit, not impending death, does help a lot also.
Say stuff like I’ve been here before and I know what is going on. It’s just my mind playing tricks on me, I will be all right. Just keep doing whatever you can to distract yourself until the attack subsides.
By just sitting there and experiencing the symptoms will only make the panic episode worse. You must get out of that place and take your concentration off your symptoms and put it on a cure for panic fits.
Realize that a panic attack is a wave, and it will pass on its own as long as you do not re-enforce it by focusing on your fear and your symptoms. Put your focus anywhere else, and ride it out. It’ll pass. Keep reminding yourself that it’s just a panic attack that you aren’t in any real danger. It is just your mind messing with you. You will be OK.

Cure Panic Attacks
Posted by Marie D. Tracy in fitness on September 27th, 2009
If you’d like to cure panic fits, you may want to consider a revolutionary program called Panic Away, made by Joe Barry. His program has helped thousands of sufferers.
Joe Barry talks about a technique called the’One Move’ and it makes a lot of sense, yet, not many folk would have even thought about it. It does take time and practice though.
What Are Panic Attacks?
Panic attacks are episodes of intense fear that could be caused by an external stimuli or may appear out of the blue and for no apparent reason. The latter is more troubling and can lead to agoraphobia.
With an external stimuli, you know the precise reason why it’s taking place. When it hits you for no reason, it can be extremely upsetting and difficult to understand. Plenty of these folks rush to emergency rooms.
In order to deal with your panic or anxiety attacks, you must understand or educate yourself referring to what it is and why it’s taking place. Panic Away helps you do this.
It’s also vital to realize that the term’cure’ doesn’t imply you will never get another episode ever again. You can. It all relies on each individual. But if it does, you know what to do.
Panic Away has already Helped Thousands!
Panic Away is an e-book that can be downloaded in seconds. It does have a refund guarantee within a certain period, so start reading and applying it swiftly.
The cause of this is because not every treatment will work for everyone. If you find it does nothing, at least you attempted and you have lost nothing, but you’ve gained valuable information.
Just like hypnosis, drugs or herbal cures ; not everybody has favorable results. In that respect, Panic Away should be viewed the same way. However, it doesn’t look like many people ask for their cash back!
In fact , there may be some of you who might have gone to many doctors without getting much help. These things do occur. You’ve got to accept it and try other avenues.
Without giving away too much, there’s little doubt that the data in Panic Away will very likely help you to get your life back and end your suffering, as it has for many others who have used it to heal panic fits.
Panic Away & The Linden Method
It is not the most well liked program of this nature that’s’s available. Reputedly, the Linden system is more popular but both programs have different styles and benefits.
Panic Away is more for someone who learns better by reading. The Linden methodology is for those who prefer listening.
Panic Away has actually helped yours actually as well and is a very recommended product that’s also surprisingly affordable. The wonderful thing about it is that you receive support for life! And the support is from Joe Barry himself, the creator.
I have also known him to reach me simply to see how I liked the program and to see how things were going. It’s neat that he did that and it shows he is making an attempt to improve what he offers.
This is surely worth looking into. It might be the answer you have been despairingly looking for. .
